Payments by the Foundation

The JOSEF WAGNER-FOUNDATION in Germany started fulfilling its charitable purposes in 1980 and since this time, up to the end of 2002 has given out more than € 2.1 million for the specified purposes of the foundation. Annually the Foundation supports about 150 individuals and charitable projects. The largest individual undertakings were:

  • € 255,000 for the operation of the Hospice in the Franciscan Centre in Friedrichshafen as a long term endowment to the Liebenau Foundation

  • € 100,000 grant for the creation of a day nursery in Markdorf

  • € 50,000 in grants for the extension and renovation of nurseries in Überlingen and Friedrichshafen
The Tübingen government committee, as the authority responsible for supervision of the foundation, conducts an annual check that the use of the resources given out by the Foundation is in accordance with the articles of association, and so far there has been no cause for complaint.

Since taking up its activities in 1975 the JOSEF-WAGNER FOUNDATION in Switzerland had spent about CHF 5.6 million by the end of 2002. The focal points of the payments here are the operation of a speech therapy outpatients’ department in Altstätten and the operation of an all-day child care centre with assistance with tasks and lunches for some 20 to 30 children from the Altstätten area.
